How joining works
You don't create accounts for your people, they have their own Tavvi account, and you link it to your business with an invitation code. That keeps their login theirs (you never handle their password) and your business yours (you control what the link lets them do).
Send the invite
On the business side, open your team section and choose Invite Your First Team Member.
Pick their role. Roles decide what they can and can't do, a barista doesn't need refund rights on day one. You can see and change per-role permissions (things like Process Refunds) whenever.
You get an Invitation Code, a short code. Text it to them, show them your screen, whatever's easiest.
What they do (30 seconds on their phone)
Install Tavvi and sign up as themselves, normal account, nothing special.
In their account area, they join your workplace by entering the code.
From there, your business shows up on their app, scoped to whatever their role allows.
Day to day
- They Clock In when a shift starts and clock out at the end, you get honest hours without a paper timesheet.
- What they see on the POS is their role's version of it: ring sales, yes; your money hub and settings, no (unless you gave that role the keys).
- Someone quits? Remove them from the team and the access dies with the link. Their personal account is untouched, it was never yours.
If something's off
- The code won't take. Codes are short-lived on purpose. Generate a fresh invite and have them retype it carefully, a zero and an O look alike.
- They joined but see the wrong things. That's the role, not the person. Change their role or adjust its permissions; it applies on their next open.
- They can't clock in. Make sure they've selected your store in their app first, clock-in is per-store, and the app tells them if no store is selected.
